Job summary

Togetherhood, LLC is seeking an Accounting Manager to own the accounting function and drive operational improvements. You will report to the Director of Operations and collaborate with the CEO and leadership across the company.

You’ll manage the monthly close in QuickBooks Online, handle A/P with Tipalti, and monitor A/R with Upflow, while also expanding revenue operations and automating workflows to scale with a growing startup.

Qualifications

• 3–7 years accounting experience in a small or growing business
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or CPA candidate is a strong plus
• Experience owning bookkeeping and monthly close
• Strong QuickBooks Online experience
• Strong analytical thinking and data-driven problem solving
• Excellent Excel or Google Sheets skills (pivot, lookups, financial analysis)
• Excellent written and verbal communication; highly responsive with partners
• Curiosity and desire to improve systems and processes

Responsibilities

• Own the monthly close in QuickBooks Online and prepare monthly financial statements
• Manage accounts payable using Tipalti and monitor accounts receivable with Upflow
• Prepare journal entries and account reconciliations; reconcile bank, payroll, and credit cards
• Coordinate with external CPA for tax filings, year-end close, and audits
• Calculate and administer sales commissions; oversee invoicing and collections with DOEs across metros
• Improve CRM data quality and reporting; build recurring dashboards and operational reports
• Support revenue reporting and business analytics
• Help operationalize expansion into new markets; document and standardize processes
• Identify opportunities to automate repetitive work and improve workflows with AI tools
