Job summary

RGP is seeking an Accounting Manager to lead high-volume, GAAP-based accounting operations. You will drive close processes, reconcile the general ledger, and analyze variances while applying automation and AI to streamline workflows.

The role involves overseeing revenue across multiple venues and POS platforms and collaborating with cross-functional teams. The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's in Accounting/Finance, 4+ years of progressive accounting experience, and preferably CPA credentials.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline.
• 4+ years progressive accounting experience.
• CPA certification or active pursuit preferred.
• Experience in restaurant, hospitality, retail, or multi-location environments is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and ability to interpret complex transactions.

Responsibilities

• Lead month-end and year-end close activities, ensuring timely and accurate financial statements.
• Maintain the integrity of the general ledger through account reconciliations, journal entries, and GAAP adherence.
• Analyze financial results, identify variances vs. budget and prior periods, and provide actionable insights.
• Oversee revenue accounting across multiple venues and POS platforms for accurate data.
• Investigate and resolve POS discrepancies with cross-functional teams (Systems, Treasury, operations).
• Ensure non-POS revenue streams are recorded and reconciled each period.
• Manage complex monthly accruals (insurance, utilities, other expenses).
• Partner with Risk Management to monitor claims, reserves, and actuarial reporting alignment.
• Drive continuous improvements to increase efficiency, scalability, and accuracy.
