This on-site role reports to the Director of Finance and partners with the VP of Finance, operations, and sales to strengthen the accounting function and streamline close processes.

The ideal candidate has 3-5 years in manufacturing accounting, strong cost accounting expertise, and a degree in Accounting (CPA preferred).

Job description

A growing manufacturing company is seeking an Accounting Manager to join its team. This hire will join a collaborative finance team and step into a role with visible impact, cross-functional exposure, and long-term growth potential.

The role will give this individual the opportunity to help strengthen the accounting function, support continued improvements in the close process, and provide leadership across a multi-location manufacturing environment.

This person will bring a strong understanding of manufacturing accounting, cost of goods, and core month-end and year-end close activities.

You'll work closely with the Director of Finance and maintain a dotted-line relationship to the VP of Finance, while partnering with teams across operations and sales. This position will play an important part in helping the business maintain smooth financial operations and support decision-making across the organization.

This person will also have the chance to demonstrate readiness for broader leadership over time, with the possibility of growing into the Controller role within a year.

This role is expected to target a base salary of up to $105,000, with a 10% bonus.

This is a 100% on-site position in Westminster, Colorado. As such, only candidates who are local to the area or able to work on-site full-time will be considered.

Responsibilities

• Support core accounting operations in a manufacturing environment, including month-end and year-end close activities
• Apply knowledge of cost accounting, cost of goods, and related financial processes to help improve reporting accuracy and visibility
• Partner with the Director of Finance and VP of Finance to provide stronger oversight for accounting activities that support multiple locations
• Work cross-functionally with teams such as operations and sales, adapting communication style to different personalities and business needs
• Help sustain and improve close timelines as the finance team continues driving toward faster, more efficient reporting cycles
• Contribute as a high-visibility member of the accounting team with the potential to grow into broader leadership responsibilities over time

Requirements

3-5 years experience with:

• Manufacturing accounting experience strongly preferred
• Strong understanding of cost accounting, cost of goods, and core accounting principles
• Experience leading or supporting month-end and year-end close processes
• Ability to work effectively with different personalities across finance, operations, and sales
• Proven ability to speak clearly to prior accomplishments and resume experience in detail
• Degree in Accounting or a related field
• CPA is a plus, but not required
• Comfort working in a dog-friendly workplace
• Ability to work fully on-site in Westminster
