Job summary

Risus Talent Partners is partnering with a growth-oriented manufacturing company to recruit an hands-on Accounting Manager who will support the Controller and help lead a team through a transformation and growth period. This role blends hands-on accounting with process improvement and strong internal controls.

You will mentor staff, oversee month-end close, manage inventory accounting, and work on ERP transitions (Amtech/EnCore).

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• 3+ years of accounting experience with increasing responsibility.
• Leadership or supervisory experience.
• Strong understanding of GAAP.
• Manufacturing experience is a big plus.
• Experience with ERP systems Amtech/EnCore preferred.
• Organized, adaptable, and able to prioritize in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor accounting staff, including direct oversight of Accounts Payable.
• Support month-end and year-end close (journal entries, accruals, reconciliations).
• Oversee inventory accounting, including reconciliations and month-end adjustments.
• Review financials (P&L, balance sheet, GL) and perform variance analysis.
• Ensure accurate reporting in compliance with GAAP.
• Help improve processes and strengthen internal controls.
• Support ERP transition efforts (Amtech/EnCore) and system improvements.
• Assist with projects like transitioning from check payments to ACH.
