Job summary

CFS in South Bend, IN is seeking an experienced accounting leader to oversee daily operations, month-end close, budgeting, and financial planning. This on-site role offers a stable, long-term path with opportunities to advance toward Controller or Director of Finance.

• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including leadership roles.
• Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, NetSuite, SAP) and advanced Excel skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily accounting operations including general ledger, AP/AR, and payroll
• Lead month-end and year-end closing processes and financial reporting
• Develop and manage budgets, forecasts, and financial models
• Ensure compliance with GAAP, tax regulations, and internal controls
• Supervise and mentor accounting staff, fostering professional development
