Job summary

LHH is seeking an experienced Accounting Manager in St. Petersburg, FL to lead a four-person accounting team supporting general ledger activities. The role balances people management with day-to-day accounting in a fast-paced environment within a large corporate setting.

The ideal candidate has 8+ years in accounting, strong US GAAP knowledge, and advanced Excel skills, with prior ERP/finance-system implementation experience preferred. This on-site role reports to the Director of Accounting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance required.
• 8+ years of progressive accounting experience in large corporate or public accounting.
• 2–3+ years of direct people-management experience; must currently manage a team.
• Strong general ledger and month-end close experience.
• Advanced knowledge of US GAAP and technical accounting principles.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Experience with ERP or finance-system implementations is a plus.

Responsibilities

The ideal candidate is an established people manager with strong technical accounting knowledge and experience working within a large corporate environment and/or public accounting.
