Job summary

CFS is seeking an Accounting Manager in Plainfield, IL to directly support the CFO and lead a two-person accounting team. Ideal for a Senior Accountant or Accounting Supervisor ready to move into management, with room for growth and internal promotion.

In this highly visible role, you will oversee GL, close processes, inventory accounting, and year-end work, while partnering with leadership to drive efficiencies and strengthen internal controls.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
• 5+ years of accounting experience.
• Experience with general ledger accounting, month-end close, and reconciliations.
• Distribution or manufacturing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day accounting operations and supervise two team members.
• Manage the general ledger, month-end close, account reconciliations, and inventory accounting.
• Prepare year-end schedules and support the external audit process.
• Serve as a key partner to the CFO on accounting and financial matters.
• Identify and implement process improvements and efficiencies.
• Assist with hiring and developing accounting staff.
