Job summary

ALTA Refrigeration, Inc. is seeking a hands-on Accounting Manager to oversee daily accounting operations in our Peachtree City, GA office. You will report to the CFO, supervise one AP associate, and ensure accurate, timely financial records across multi-state tax filings.

The role requires 5–10 years of progressive accounting experience, a bachelor's in accounting, and strong GL close knowledge. ERP experience and advanced Excel skills are essential; experience in project/construction accounting

Qualifications

• 5-10 years of progressive accounting or finance experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field preferred.
• Strong understanding of general ledger accounting and close processes.
• Experience with sales and use tax preferred.
• Experience with project, construction, or manufacturing accounting preferred.
• ERP software experience.
• Advanced MS Excel skills, as well as experience with MS Access.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage daily accounting functions including accounts payable and accounts receivable.
• Complete general ledger administration and journal entries.
• Perform month-end and year-end closing and audit support activities.
• Perform account reconciliations, including bank reconciliations.
• Ensure proper submittal of monthly sales and use tax filings across multiple states.
• Assist with financial reporting and cash flow management.
• Maintain fixed asset program and accounting.
• Administer lease tracking, accounting, and reconciliations.
• Coordinate with external auditors, tax accountants, and regulatory agencies as needed.
• Maintain organized financial records and strong internal controls.
• Drive improvements in internal accounting procedures.
• Supervise and support accounting staff while delegating daily tasks.
