Job summary

LHH is partnering with a growing organization in Palo Alto, CA to hire an Accounting Manager who thrives in a fast-paced, high-volume environment and enjoys rolling up their sleeves to drive impact.

You will own intercompany and operational accounting across multiple entities, manage month-end close, budgeting, and cash flow reporting, and lead process improvements with automation and AI. CPA preferred but not required; strong judgment and collaboration are essential.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of progressive accounting experience.
  • Strong operational accounting background with the ability to manage a high volume of transactions.
  • Experience with intercompany, related-party, partnership, or investment accounting.
  • Ability to work independently, exercise sound judgment, and solve problems proactively.
  • Strong learning agility and the ability to quickly understand new industries, businesses, and accounting complexities.
  • Comfortable leveraging technology, automation, and AI tools to improve efficiency.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • CPA preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Own and manage high-volume accounting transactions across multiple related entities.
  • Process and reconcile intercompany activity, including shared-service fees, reimbursements, allocations, and entity-to-entity transactions.
  • Manage employee expense reimbursements, consulting invoices, vendor payments, and related accounting activities.
  • Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, accruals, allocations, and month-end close activities.
  • Support partnership and investment accounting, including capital contributions, distributions, income allocations, and K-1 reconciliations.
  • Prepare annual tax workpapers and supporting schedules.
  • Assist with budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and cash flow reporting.
  • Drive process improvements, automation initiatives, and AI-enabled accounting workflows.
  • Maintain strong internal controls, documentation, and accounting policies.
  • Partner cross-functionally with stakeholders across the organization.
