LHH is seeking a Senior Accountant to join its Baltimore-area finance team. This onsite role blends operational accounting with process improvement and cross-functional exposure in a fast-paced environment.

The position offers a hybrid work schedule, leadership visibility, and opportunities for professional growth as the organization expands. Compensation ranges from $90,000 to $112,000 plus bonus, with biweekly pay and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting is required.
• At least 2 years of accounting experience.
• Strong understanding of general ledger accounting and month-end close.
• Experience in a fast-paced or growing organization preferred.
• Proficiency with Excel and ERP/accounting systems.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly journal entries, reconciliations, and schedules for close.
• Analyze financial statements and investigate variances.
• Maintain accuracy of the general ledger and ensure policy compliance.
• Assist with monthly/quarterly/annual financial reporting packages.
• Support operational accounting activities (accruals, fixed assets, intercompany).
• Collaborate with departments to improve processes and reporting.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly journal entries, reconciliations, and supporting schedules for the month-end close process
• Analyze financial statements and investigate variances across operational accounts
• Maintain accuracy of the general ledger and ensure compliance with accounting policies and procedures
• Assist with preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting packages
• Support operational accounting activities including accruals, fixed assets, prepaid expenses, and intercompany transactions
• Collaborate with internal departments to improve financial processes and reporting efficiency
• Assist with audit support and provide documentation for external auditors
• Participate in process improvement initiatives and special projects as assigned

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required
• 2+ years of accounting experience required
• Strong understanding of general ledger accounting and month-end close processes
• Experience within a fast-paced or growing organization preferred
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and ERP/accounting systems
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a collaborative environment
