Job summary

Asset Manager is seeking an experienced accounting professional to join their team as an Accounting Manager. You will research and apply U.S.

GAAP, SEC requirements, and accounting guidance related to complex transactions, while preparing technical accounting analyses and maintaining corporate accounting policies. The role entails evaluating accounting treatment for real estate transactions, consolidation and investment matters, lease accounting, revenue recognition, and supporting SEC reporting

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field.
• 4+ years of public accounting or a combination of public accounting and industry experience.
• Strong technical accounting background; industry experience is flexible
• Knowledge of U.S. GAAP and SEC reporting requirements

Responsibilities

• Research and apply U.S. GAAP, SEC regulations, and accounting guidance related to complex transactions
• Prepare technical accounting analyses and memoranda and maintain corporate accounting policies
• Evaluate accounting treatment for real estate acquisitions, dispositions, development activities, impairments, and other transactions
• Assess consolidation and investment accounting matters, including joint ventures, VIEs, and equity method investments
• Provide technical guidance related to lease accounting, revenue recognition, debt and equity transactions, derivatives, and other financing activities
• Support SEC reporting, including Forms 10-K, 10-Q, 8-K, disclosures, and other filings
• Coordinate with external auditors on technical accounting and financial reporting matters
• Support SOX compliance and identify opportunities to strengthen accounting controls and reporting processes
• Monitor new accounting standards and evaluate their potential impact
• Provide technical accounting guidance and training to accounting and finance teams
