Base pay range

We are currently working with a rapidly growing energy (oil and gas) company that are looking for an Accounting Manager to join the team on a permanent basis. The role is fully office based in Central Manhattan (Chelsea), and they are looking for a progressive candidate with ambitions to become the Senior Manager within the year.

The client is a brilliant, global energy company with an annual revenue of over $2 billion. The business continues to grow and is looking to hire a few additional heads to the team to manage the increased workload. The role will report directly into the Global Controller and will oversee the management/consolidation of over 200 different global entities. The company really pushes internal growth and are looking for a new candidate to join this exciting new team!

Description
  • Management of the financial close process
  • Review the journal entries, reconciliations, and support schedules for multiple legal entities
  • Inter-company reconciliations, returns and reporting
  • Monthly variance analysis (Actual vs Budget analysis)
  • Budgeting and Forecasting, alongside the financial planning team
  • Process improvement
  • Support the internal and external reporting, assist with audit
  • Oversee analysts responsible for treasury-related accounting, including cash, investments, and related reconciliations
  • Line management of 2-3 Analysts
  • Inventory management
Profile
  • Have 5+ years of experience in similar/relevant roles
  • MUST have prior experience working in a global, multi-entity environment
  • Strong working knowledge of US GAAP, SOX and the financial close process
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • CPA qualification (highly desirable) - completed or studied
  • Keen to grow through the organization
  • Prior experience working across functions and liaising with various business partners
  • Strong process improvement experience
