Overview

My client based in Portland, TX is actively seeking an Accounting Manager to contribute to their team's success. As the Accounting Manager you will own the month-end close process across the Balance Sheet and Income Statement and help prepare and review financial statements. This role is on site in Portland, TX and supports a global industrial manufacturer with offices worldwide.

Responsibilities

Lead and participate in the month-end close process, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting.
Oversee the Accounts Payable and Receivables team for this business unit.
Review and reconcile Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable transactions to maintain accurate financial records.
Perform day-to-day accounting tasks, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statement preparation.
Contribute to financial analysis and reporting, providing insights for decision-making.
Prepare documentation and support internal and external audit processes.
Ensure adherence to accounting principles, regulations, and company policies.
Mentor and train junior staff members.
Help lead the ERP implementation.

Profile / Qualifications

Bachelor\'s degree in Accounting or related field; CPA preferred.
Proven experience in month-end close, reconciliations, and journal entries.
Experience preparing internal financial reports to aid decision making.
Understanding of AP and AR processes; GL reconciliation.
Strong accounting principles knowledge; regulatory understanding.
Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
Experience with ERP implementations; SAP preferred.
Excellent communication and organizational skills.
On-site role based in Portland, TX; relocation within the United States may be provided.
