• A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role, preferably within the construction, HVAC, or plumbing industry.
• Proficiency in using Sage Intacct or similar financial management software.
• Strong knowledge of Balance Sheet, Variance Analysis, Budgeting, Forecasting, Job Costing, Billing, HVAC and Plumbing industry, Cash Flow, Aging Reports, P&L, Inventory Accounting, HVAC MEP, Labor Trends, Year-End Close, and Financial Statements.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements including Balance Sheet, P&L, and Cash Flow.
• Conduct variance analysis to understand the difference between budgeted and actual figures.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and job costing to ensure financial efficiency.
• Manage the billing process, ensuring all invoices are accurate and sent in a timely manner.
• Oversee inventory accounting, maintaining accurate records of materials and equipment.
• Monitor labor trends to aid in workforce planning and budgeting.
• Prepare aging reports to track outstanding receivables and payables.
• Use Sage Intacct software for financial management and operations.
• Assist in the year-end close process and preparation of annual financial statements.

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Accounting Manager/Assistant Controller to join our dynamic team in the construction industry. 7. 7. Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy, particularly when handling accounts, ledgers, and reporting.
8. 8. Strong organizational and time-management skills, which will help manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
9. 9. A proactive approach to problem-solving, with strong decision-making skills.
10. 10. A commitment to continuous professional development and staying updated with the latest industry trends and best practices.
