Overview

We are seeking a talented and experienced Senior Accountant to join our dynamic team in the construction industry. This position is an excellent opportunity for a seasoned professional to apply their skills and knowledge in a challenging and rewarding environment. The Senior Accountant will play a crucial role in our finance department, managing day-to-day accounting operations, preparing financial reports, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations. This is a fully onsite role with a fantastic team and a strong, supportive culture. There are multiple openings due to ongoing expansion.

Salary: $80,000 - $110,000 per year

Responsibilities

• Overseeing general ledger functions and the reconciliation of balance sheet accounts.
• Preparing and recording journal entries and accruals.
• Managing fixed assets and maintaining the fixed asset register.
• Preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
• Assisting with the monthly reporting process, providing accurate and timely financial information to management.
• Ensuring compliance with accounting policies and regulatory requirements.
• Assisting with the year-end close process and preparing schedules for the annual audit.
• Utilizing Sage Intacct software for various accounting tasks.
• Collaborating with other departments to improve financial processes and reporting.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A Master’s degree or CPA certification is a plus.
• A minimum of 5 years of accounting experience, preferably in the construction industry.
• Proficiency in Sage Intacct or equivalent accounting software.
• Strong knowledge of general ledger functions, balance sheet account reconciliation, and fixed asset accounting.
• Excellent understanding of financial and accounting principles, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow.
• Experience in preparing financial reports and conducting month-end and year-end closes.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to meet tight deadlines and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
