Job summary

Jobot in Midland, Texas is seeking a permanent Controller to oversee all accounting operations, including billing, A/R, A/P, GL, cost accounting, inventory accounting, and revenue recognition. The role emphasizes accuracy, internal controls, and timely financial reporting.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance or related field.
  • CPA or MBA highly preferred.
  • 5+ years of senior-level finance or accounting experience.
  • ERP implementation and manufacturing accounting experience.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to direct and supervise.
  • Strong MS Excel knowledge.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and project management skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage ambiguity.

Qualifications:

To be considered for the Permanent Controller position, candidates must possess the following qualifications:

  • 1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. CPA or MBA is highly preferred.
  • 2. Minimum of 5 years of experience in a senior-level finance or accounting position, preferably within the manufacturing industry.
  • 3. Proven knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles, practices, standards, laws, and regulations.
  • 4. In-depth experience in ERP implementation, manufacturing accounting, financials, fixed assets, annual budget, and financial statements.
  • 5. High attention to detail and accuracy.
  • 6. Ability to direct and supervise.
  • 7. Strong working knowledge of MS Office, particularly MS Excel.
  • 8. Excellent communication, leadership, and project management skills.
  • 9. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • 10. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage well through ambiguity and complexity.
