Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance is required.
  • 7+ years of progressive accounting experience.
  • Prior leadership or management experience.
  • Strong financial reporting and technical accounting background.
  • Experience within a large corporate accounting environment.
  • Advanced knowledge of US GAAP and ERP systems.

Responsibilities

  • Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes.
  • Oversee financial reporting and financial statement preparation.
  • Review and approve journal entries, reconciliations, and schedules.
  • Research complex accounting issues and ensure US GAAP compliance.
  • Lead technical accounting projects and prepare memorandums.
  • Support acquisition accounting and post-acquisition integrations.
  • Partner with leaders to analyze financial performance.
  • Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and internal controls.
  • Review analyses and reporting prepared by the team.
  • Develop and mentor accounting staff.

Job description

We are seeking an Accounting Manager to provide leadership within its Corporate Accounting organization during an exciting period of growth and acquisition integration. This individual will oversee financial reporting, technical accounting, general ledger operations, acquisition accounting, and staff development while partnering closely with senior leadership across the organization.

The ideal candidate is an experienced accounting leader with strong technical accounting expertise, proven people leadership, and the ability to drive process improvements while supporting ongoing M&A activity.

Responsibilities
  • Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes.
  • Oversee financial reporting and financial statement preparation.
  • Review and approve journal entries, reconciliations, and supporting schedules.
  • Research complex accounting issues and ensure compliance with US GAAP.
  • Lead technical accounting projects and prepare accounting memorandums.
  • Support acquisition accounting, purchase accounting, and post-acquisition integrations.
  • Partner with operational leaders, regional controllers, and executive leadership to analyze financial performance.
  • Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and internal controls.
  • Review financial analyses and reporting prepared by the accounting team.
  • Develop, mentor, and manage accounting staff while providing coaching and performance feedback.
  • Lead special projects and strategic accounting initiatives.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • 7+ years of progressive accounting experience.
  • Prior leadership or management experience.
  • Strong financial reporting and technical accounting background.
  • Experience within a large corporate accounting environment.
  • Advanced knowledge of US GAAP.
  • Experience with enterprise ERP systems.
  • Strong project management and leadership abilities.
Preferred
  • CPA (strongly preferred).
  • Manufacturing accounting experience.
  • Public accounting (Audit) background.
  • JD Edwards experience.
  • Experience leading acquisition accounting and M&A integrations.
Technical Environment
  • Power BI
  • Showcase Query (or similar reporting tools)

Approximately 40% of the role is spent in JD Edwards, with the remainder focused on financial reporting, analytics, technical accounting, and leadership responsibilities.

Leadership Responsibilities
  • Manage and develop a team of accounting professionals.
  • Provide coaching, mentorship, and performance management.
  • Lead departmental initiatives and continuous improvement efforts.
  • Serve as a key partner to Accounting leadership during periods of growth and acquisition integration.
