Job summary

CFS in Houston seeks an Accounting Manager to lead the month-end close, own ASC 606 revenue recognition, and supervise GL activities in a high-transaction environment.

You will partner with operations and field leadership to resolve revenue issues, support audits, and drive process improvements while mentoring a growing accounting team in a hybrid setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• CPA required.
• Management experience with ownership of GL and month-end close.
• Deep working knowledge of ASC 606 revenue recognition.
• Advanced Excel skills; ERP and reporting systems experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead month-end close and ensure accurate, timely financial statements.
• Oversee ASC 606 revenue recognition, including complex contracts and high-volume transactions.
• Manage general ledger activities, reconciliations, and accruals.
• Partner with operations and field leadership to resolve revenue and accounting issues.
• Support internal and external audits, including analytics and variance explanations.
• Drive process improvements, internal controls, and system enhancements.
