Job summary

Our client, a global technology company in San Diego, is seeking an Accounting Manager to lead the Revenue Recognition team and drive ASC 606-compliant processes. You will evaluate new products, translate guidance into scalable policies, and partner with Accounting, Finance, IT, Product, Sales, and Marketing to ensure accurate revenue reporting.

You will mentor junior staff, oversee revenue-related accounts, and influence cross-functional decisions with strong analytical and communication

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• CPA required with strong ASC 606 and US GAAP knowledge.
• Experience researching complex accounting topics and documenting conclusions.
• 7+ years of progressive accounting experience with revenue recognition expertise.
• Ability to partner with stakeholders across Accounting, Finance, IT, Product, Sales, and Marketing.

Responsibilities

Job Overview

Qualifications

• * Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• * 7+ years of progressive accounting experience, including strong technical accounting and revenue recognition experience.
• * Active CPA required.
• * Strong knowledge of ASC 606, U.S. GAAP, financial reporting, and internal controls.
• * Solid general ledger foundation and understanding of end-to-end accounting processes.
• * Experience researching complex accounting topics and documenting conclusions.
• * Strong analytical, project management, problem-solving, and process improvement skills.
• * Ability to partner effectively with stakeholders across Accounting, Finance, IT, Product, Sales, and Marketing.
• * Excellent communication skills, including the ability to explain technical accounting concepts to non-accounting partners.
• * Prior management, mentoring, or team leadership experience preferred, including experience leading without direct reports.
• * Public accounting or internal audit experience is a plus.
• * Familiarity with Oracle R12, BlackLine, Siebel/BRM, Business Objects, or comparable financial systems is preferred.
