Job summary

LHH is partnering with an established manufacturing company in the East Valley to hire an Accounting Manager. This hands-on leadership role oversees financial reporting, accounting operations, internal controls, budgeting, and team development.

The role requires five+ years of progressive accounting experience, a Bachelor's in Accounting/Finance, and a fully onsite, direct-hire arrangement. Expect the focus to be on accuracy, compliance, and developing a high-performing accounting team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
• Five or more years of progressive accounting experience.
• Previous supervisory or management experience.
• Strong knowledge of financial reporting, budgeting, general ledger accounting, and internal controls.
• Manufacturing experience preferred.
• ERP, financial reporting, payroll, and advanced Excel experience.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines in a hands-on environment.
• Fully onsite.
• Direct-hire.
• Background check and drug screen required, including THC.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily accounting operations, including general ledger, month-end close, financial reporting, payroll oversight, and fixed assets.
• Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Analyze financial results and provide practical recommendations to improve performance and efficiency.
• Manage budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities.
• Maintain strong internal controls and improve accounting processes.
• Coordinate internal and external audits.
• Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards, tax requirements, and regulatory reporting.
• Oversee banking relationships and support cash management activities.
• Manage accounting system access and financial reporting processes.
• Lead, develop, and support a team of three accounting professionals.
