Job summary

CFS in Galveston, TX is seeking an Accounting Manager to lead and mentor accounting staff while overseeing month-end close, financial reporting, and core accounting operations. You will play a key role in audits across governmental, state, and insurance channels and influence policies and internal controls.

This hands-on role includes ERP implementation involvement and broad responsibility across AP, AR, and GL, offering a stable full-time position with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field.
• 5+ years of accounting leadership experience (Manager level or similar).
• Strong GL and month-end close expertise.
• Construction industry experience preferred; CMiC a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and consolidate monthly financial statements.
• Oversee AP/AR and manage month-end close process.
• Review reconciliations, journal entries, and bank activity.
• Support audits across multiple channels (year-end, governmental, insurance).
• Maintain internal controls and improve accounting policies/procedures.
• Lead, train, and support accounting staff and divisional teams.
