CFS in Galveston, TX is seeking an Accounting Manager to lead and mentor the accounting staff, taking ownership of month-end close, financial reporting, and core accounting operations.

You will influence accounting policies, internal controls, and audit processes across governmental, state, and insurance channels, with hands-on involvement in ERP implementation and a broad scope across AP, AR, and GL.

This is a stable, full-time role with strong benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field required.
• 5+ years’ experience in accounting leadership (Accounting Manager or similar).
• Strong GL experience and month-end close expertise.
• Construction industry experience preferred; CMiC a plus.

Responsabilités

• Prepare and consolidate monthly financial statements.
• Oversee AP/AR and manage month-end close process.
• Review reconciliations, journal entries, and bank activity.
• Support audits across multiple channels (year-end, governmental, insurance).
• Maintain internal controls and improve accounting policies/procedures.
• Lead, train, and support accounting staff and divisional teams.
