Job summary

Creative Financial Staffing, LLC is seeking an Accounting Manager in Illinois to lead inventory and cost accounting in a manufacturing environment. You will manage month-, quarter-, and year-end closes and drive SOX compliance and internal controls improvements.

The role offers a hybrid schedule, bonus potential, and equity ownership, with a base salary in the $120k–$130k range and growth opportunities in a collaborative, high‑performing culture.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience with strong cost accounting exposure.
• Inventory accounting experience within a manufacturing environment.
• Experience working in publicly traded companies or a mix of public and private environments.
• Background utilizing large ERP systems such as Great Plains, NetSuite, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar platforms.

Responsibilities

• Lead inventory and cost accounting activities, including manufacturing variance analysis.
• Manage month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes.
• Oversee accruals, accounts payable, payroll-related accounting, and debt accounts.
• Review account reconciliations and support financial statement preparation.
• Partner on SOX compliance, internal controls improvements, and audit support.
• Manage and mentor two operational accounting team members.
