Job summary

Finatal is seeking an Accounting Manager to join a high-growth, private equity-backed services business with 70+ locations and ~1,400 employees. You will partner with the VP of Finance on financial reporting, close management, controls, and larger finance initiatives while influencing the CFO and PE sponsor.

Qualifications

• 3–7 years of progressive accounting experience.
• Strong technical accounting fundamentals across financial reporting, close, GL, reconciliations, and internal controls.
• Clear track record of career progression and increasing responsibility.
• High-potential, ambitious accounting professional with the ability to grow into broader leadership.
• Industry background flexible; quality of experience and trajectory are key.
• Experience in a PE-backed environment is a plus.

Responsibilities

Finatal is partnering with a leading private equity-backed, multi-site services business to appoint an Accounting Manager as the company continues its next phase of growth and value creation.

Reporting into the VP of Finance, this is a highly visible opportunity within a business approaching $500M in revenue, operating across 70+ locations with more than 1,400 employees. The company continues to invest in operational excellence, strategic acquisitions, and scalable finance infrastructure.

The Opportunity

As Accounting Manager, you'll play a key role within the accounting function, partnering closely with the VP of Finance across financial reporting, close management, technical accounting, controls, and broader finance initiatives. You'll also have a high level of influence with the CFO and the PE sponsor.

This role is designed for a high-potential accounting professional looking to take the next step in their career, with a clear opportunity to develop into the Controller position over time.

You'll support the monthly, quarterly, and annual close, maintain the integrity of the general ledger and reconciliations, strengthen internal controls, support audit requirements, and drive improvements across accounting processes and systems. You'll also work cross-functionally with FP&A and operational teams and gain exposure to acquisitions, integrations, and broader finance transformation initiatives.

We're Looking For

• Approximately 3–7 years of progressive accounting experience
• CPA strongly preferred
• Strong technical accounting fundamentals across financial reporting, close, general ledger, reconciliations, and internal controls
• Clear track record of career progression and increasing responsibility
• High-potential, ambitious accounting professional with the ability and desire to grow into broader accounting leadership
• Industry background is flexible; quality of experience, trajectory, and raw horsepower are more important than exact sector alignment
• Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, PE-backed environment
