Job summary

FirstCall Group is hiring an Accounting Manager to support a partner’s transition into the FirstCall operating model. Based in Central Support/Austin with travel of about 20%, the role will partner with the Integration Controller during the first 90–100 days post‑acquisition to establish common accounting processes.

You will lead monthly US GAAP reporting, journal entries, accruals and reconciliations, coordinate with vendors on PPA and QoE rollforward, and drive process improvements across

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
• Minimum 7 years of relevant accounting and finance experience.
• Deep understanding of financial close process including journal entries, reconciliation schedules and financial statement package
• Deep understanding of ASC 606 percentage of completion accounting.
• Experience with multiple accounting systems.
• Background in trades environment: construction, electrical, HVAC, a plus

The Role

We are hiring an Accounting Manager to support our new partners with a successful transition to becoming a FirstCall operating company. This role will work closely with our Integration Controller to support a new company’s integration into FirstCall’s accounting organization for the first 90-100 days post-acquisition.

Job Overview

• Monthly financial reporting in accordance with US GAAP, including all journal entries, accruals and balance sheet reconciliation schedules
• Communication with 3rd party vendors on the Purchase Price Accounting and Quality of Earnings rollfoward
• Maintaining proper accounting procedures and controls and related documentation
• Working with office administration team and providing accounting guidance
• Implementing process improvements in the finance functions

ORGANIZATIONAL ALIGNMENT

This position will report to the Integration Controller.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting
• Minimum 7 years of relevant accounting and finance experience.
• Deep understanding of financial close process including the preparation journal entries, reconciliation schedules and financial statement package
• Deep understanding of percentage of completion (ASC 606) accounting
• High degree of professionalism and strong sense of ownership and pride in your work
• Experience with multiple accounting systems
• Background in trades environment: construction, electrical, HVAC, a plus
