Job summary

FirstCall Group is seeking an Accounting Manager to support newly acquired partners during integration into FirstCall’s accounting organization for the first 90–100 days post-acquisition. The role reports to the Integration Controller and covers monthly US GAAP reporting, close processes, and collaboration with vendors.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's in Accounting, 7+ years of experience, and strong ownership and communication skills, with familiarity in trades environments such as

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting is required.
• Minimum 7 years of accounting/finance experience.
• Deep understanding of financial close processes including journal entries, reconciliations, and statements.
• Solid knowledge of ASC 606 (percentage of completion) accounting.
• Experience with multiple accounting systems.
• Background in trades environment (construction/electrical/HVAC) is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly financial reports in accordance with US GAAP, including journal entries, accruals, and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Coordinate with 3rd party vendors on Purchase Price Accounting and Quality of Earnings rollforward.
• Maintain proper accounting procedures, controls, and supporting documentation.
• Collaborate with office administration and provide accounting guidance.
• Lead or implement process improvements in finance functions.

The Role

We are hiring an Accounting Manager to support our new partners with a successful transition to becoming a FirstCall operating company. This role will work closely with our Integration Controller to support a new company’s integration into FirstCall’s accounting organization for the first 90-100 days post-acquisition.

Job Overview

• Monthly financial reporting in accordance with US GAAP, including all journal entries, accruals and balance sheet reconciliation schedules
• Communication with 3rd party vendors on the Purchase Price Accounting and Quality of Earnings rollfoward
• Maintaining proper accounting procedures and controls and related documentation
• Working with office administration team and providing accounting guidance
• Implementing process improvements in the finance functions

ORGANIZATIONAL ALIGNMENT

This position will report to the Integration Controller.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting
• Minimum 7 years of relevant accounting and finance experience.
• Deep understanding of financial close process including the preparation journal entries, reconciliation schedules and financial statement package
• Deep understanding of percentage of completion (ASC 606) accounting
• High degree of professionalism and strong sense of ownership and pride in your work
• Experience with multiple accounting systems
• Background in trades environment: construction, electrical, HVAC, a plus
