Job summary

Ally's Accounting LEADership Development Program (ALDP) offers recent graduates a cross-functional, enterprise-wide learning path within the Controller’s function in Detroit, Michigan. The 3-year program features three 12-month rotations and exposure to multiple Ally business lines, with a June 15, 2027 start date.

Participants pursue CPA while working full-time, gaining hands-on experience in accounting, tax, controls and financial reporting, and benefiting from Ally's Total Rewards and ongoing

Qualifications

• Graduating between June 2026 and July 2027.
• Seniors or post-graduate students pursuing an undergraduate degree in Accounting or Business Administration with plans to obtain CPA preferred.
• Previous accounting internship experience preferred.
• Eligibility to work in the U.S. without sponsorship from the company.
• Demonstrate a combination of academic aptitude, quantitative skills, intrinsic motivation, creative problem solving and advanced oral and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Accounting and reporting for Ally Business Lines and Enterprise Functions including Automotive Finance, Corporate Finance, Ally Invest, Corporate Consolidations, Debt, and Capital Markets.
• Preparing the tax provision and related disclosures.
• Forecasting tax expense and its components.
• Preparing and filing tax returns.
• Design, plan, and execute testing over internal controls.
• Preparation of reports filed with the SEC and coordination with external auditors.
