Job summary

Enterprise is seeking an Accounting Intern for Summer 2027. The program will start in May 2027 and run through early August 2027, with a pay rate of $24.00 per hour based on a 40-hour work week.

The role will be located at one of our regional offices in Lombard, IL or Alsip, IL. You will gain exposure to basic accounting procedures—from accounts payable/receivable to financial statement preparation and analysis—while supporting the accounting team and other departments.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Currently enrolled in a bachelor's degree program in Accounting with graduation May 2028 or sooner.
• Experience in accounting, accounts payable/receivable or bookkeeping preferred.
• Basic proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Word.
• Valid driver’s license with no more than 1 moving violations and/or at-fault accidents in the past three years.
• Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing financial statements and analysis.
• Work closely with rental branches and other departments.
• Assist accounting managers with reports and related tasks.
• Involved with A/P & A/R functions; cash receipts & petty cash.
• Assist in accounting schedules & filing.
• Perform miscellaneous administrative duties as needed.
