Job summary

SIMON in Cheyenne, WY, offers an Accounting Intern position as part of its internship program. The role provides hands-on exposure to accounting functions and close collaboration with the Accounting/Finance team under direct supervision.

Interns support month-end processes, financial reporting, budgeting, and reconciliations, while gaining 1:1 mentorship and opportunities to present a capstone project to leadership.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in accounting, finance, or business program.
• Valid driver's license preferred.
• Proficiency in MS Office preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with month-end closings, financial reporting, and budgeting.
• Assist with accounts receivable/payable and bank reconciliations.
• Assist with Balance Sheet reconciliations.
• Perform data entry into accounting systems (JD Edwards, Citrix/HeavyJob, ADRA, OnBase, Anaplan).
• Meet regularly with assigned mentor to discuss ideas and challenges.
• Complete capstone project/presentation at internship end.
