Job summary

SIMON in Rapid City, SD seeks an Accounting Intern to support the Accounting/Finance team under direct supervision. You will learn and contribute through focused projects, 1:1 mentorship, and exposure to month-end closings, invoicing, and financial reporting.

This hands-on internship advances business, finance, and construction-management concepts in a real-world setting. You'll gain experience with JD Edwards, ADRA, OnBase, Anaplan, and other systems while developing professional skills and

Qualifications

Currently enrolled in a relevant degree program (Accounting/Finance/Business Admin).
Valid driver’s license and clean driving history preferred.

Responsibilities

Embrace safety culture and follow policies.
Support and promote company values and ethics.
Assist with month-end closings, financial reporting, and budgeting.
Assist with accounts receivable and payable and bank reconciliations.
Assist with Balance Sheet reconciliations.
Enter data into accounting systems (JD Edwards, Citrix/HeavyJob, ADRA, OnBase, Anaplan).
Assist Accounting with general functions.
Meet with mentor to discuss progress and challenges.
Complete capstone project/presentation for leadership.
