Job summary

Simon internship program provides real-world exposure to industry operations with 1:1 mentorship for students studying business, accounting, and construction management. Interns work in various admin and operational areas and contribute to focused projects aligned with company goals.

Under direct supervision, interns assist the Accounting/Finance team with multiple accounting programs and procedures as part of the internship experience.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a degree program in accounting, finance, or business administration.
• Proficient with MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving history preferred.

Responsibilities

• Embrace safety culture and support safety initiatives.
• Support company values, ethics, and policies.
• Assist with month-end closings, financial reporting, and budgeting.
• Assist with accounts receivable, payable, and bank reconciliations.
• Assist with Balance Sheet reconciliations.
• Enter data in accounting systems (JD Edwards, Citrix/HeavyJob, ADRA, OnBase, Anaplan).
• Assist Accounting with general functions.
• Meet with mentor to discuss progress.
