Job summary

LCS Living offers a full-time 12-week Accounting internship from May through August at our Des Moines, IA location. Interns work 40 hours/week, contribute to meaningful projects, and present outcomes to senior leadership at summer's end.

We seek students majoring in Accounting or Economics with strong MS Excel skills, budgeting and financial statement exposure, and a drive to learn in a professional setting with mentorship and networking opportunities.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a college or university program majoring in Accounting, Economics or related field.
• Strong background in MS Excel, and reporting.
• Background in financial statement review, budgeting, and analysis preferred.
• Exposure to general ledger, GAAP Accounting beneficial.
• Hands-on experience in a professional environment.
• Mentorship and exposure to senior leadership.
• Opportunities for networking and career development.
• Competitive hourly rate: $22.50/hour

Job description

The Accounting internship is a full-time, 12-week program (40 hours per week) running from May through August. Interns will gain hands‑on professional experience by contributing to meaningful projects that have a direct impact on the business. The program will conclude with a presentation to the senior leadership team, highlighting both the project outcomes and the overall internship experience. Throughout the summer, interns will also gain broad exposure to the organization and its operations.
