Job summary

LCS is offering a full-time, 12-week Human Resources internship in Des Moines, IA. Interns will support the Talent Development team, gain hands-on HR experience, and present outcomes to senior leadership at the end of the program.

Interns will plan conferences, collaborate across departments, and participate in mentorship and training to develop professionally while contributing to meaningful projects that impact the organization and residents.

Responsibilities

• The Human Resources intern will support the Talent Development team and receive practical, hands-on learning experiences in human resources with a goal of applying their classroom education to actual LCS projects.
• Assist with planning content for conferences by attending planning calls and participating in discussions to determine content
• Collaborate with leaders and team members across departments
• Participate in professional development and networking opportunities
• Present your project and summer experience to the senior leadership team at the conclusion of the internship
• Gain a broad understanding of our industry and operations through mentorship, training, and shadowing opportunities

Job description

This internship is a full-time, 12-week program (40 hours per week) running from May through August. Interns will gain hands-on professional experience by contributing to meaningful projects that have a direct impact on the business. The program will conclude with a presentation to the senior leadership team, highlighting both the project outcomes and the overall internship experience. Throughout the summer, interns will also gain broad exposure to the organization and its operations.
