Job summary

Provisional Recruiting + Staffing in Spokane Valley, WA is seeking an Accountant to join our team. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience in accounts payable, accounts receivable, Excel, depreciation schedules, and sales tax reporting, with the ability to support HR tasks as needed.

You will manage AP/AR, process invoices and reconciliations, prepare depreciation schedules, assist with month-end close, file sales tax, maintain records, and rely on Excel for analysis and reporting.

Qualifications

• Prior accounting experience with AP/AR.
• Strong Excel skills for reporting and data management.
• Experience with depreciation schedules and sales tax reporting.
• Detail-oriented with good organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and handle multiple priorities.
• HR support exposure preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day accounts payable and accounts receivable.
• Process invoices, payments, deposits, and account reconciliations.
• Prepare and maintain depreciation schedules and tables.
• Assist with monthly and year-end accounting activities.
• Prepare and file sales tax reports.
• Maintain accurate financial records and documentation.
• Utilize Microsoft Excel for reporting, analysis, spreadsheets, and financial tracking.
• Assist with account reconciliations and identifying discrepancies.
• Support general accounting and administrative functions as needed.
• Assist with various HR-related responsibilities, including employee records, onboarding, payroll support, and other HR administrative tasks.
• Maintain confidentiality when handling financial and employee information.
