The role includes managing accounts payable/receivable, month-end close, HR paperwork, onboarding, and coordinating with outside accountants. Benefits and a stable, growing team are provided.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Manage accounts payable from invoice receipt through approval, entry, and payment.
• Manage accounts receivable, customer payments, deposits, credits, and account reconciliation.
• Enter and pay vendor bills, including ACH, credit card, and check payments.
• Maintain accurate general ledger activity and prepare journal entries when appropriate.
• Perform bank and credit-card reconciliations.
• Assist with month-end closing and ensure transactions are posted to the proper periods.
• Maintain organized supporting documentation for accounting transactions.
• Work with outside accountants and ownership as needed.
• Maintain personnel files and required employee documentation.
• Handle new-hire paperwork, onboarding, and employee changes.
• Coordinate terminations and offboarding documentation.

Pay & Schedule

• Salary: $65,000-$70,000 annually
• Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM
• Employment Type: Direct Hire

Accounting & Bookkeeping

• Manage accounts payable from invoice receipt through approval, entry, and payment
• Manage accounts receivable, customer payments, deposits, credits, and account reconciliation
• Enter and pay vendor bills, including ACH, credit card, and check payments
• Maintain accurate general ledger activity and prepare journal entries when appropriate
• Perform bank and credit-card reconciliations
• Assist with month-end closing and ensure transactions are posted to the proper periods
• Maintain organized supporting documentation for accounting transactions
• Work within JobBOSS² and help ensure jobs, invoices, deposits, payments, and GL activity are recorded correctly
• Assist with sales/use tax reporting and other routine financial filings
• Work with outside accountants and ownership as needed
• Maintain personnel files and required employee documentation
• Handle new-hire paperwork, onboarding, and employee changes
• Coordinate terminations and offboarding documentation
• Maintain employee policies, acknowledgments, and required records
• Assist management with attendance, PTO, employee documentation, and routine HR questions
• Coordinate with outside HR/legal resources when necessary
• Maintain confidentiality with sensitive employee and company information
