Job summary

Permobil has an open position for an Accounting Director in the United States (Belleville, IL area). The role reports to the senior finance leadership and will drive the strategic direction of the accounting function while partnering with operations and other business units.

The role requires 10+ years of progressive accounting experience, including 7+ years in leadership, strong US GAAP and IFRS knowledge, and experience with ERP systems like Microsoft Dynamics/AX.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting; MBA or CPA preferred.
• Minimum 10 years of progressive accounting experience, including 7+ years in a leadership role.
• Working knowledge of US GAAP and IFRS.
• Experience with large ERP systems; Microsoft Dynamics or AX is a plus.
• Experience with automation in accounting processes, including AI, RPA, or workflow tools.

Responsibilities

• Set and drive the strategic direction for the accounting organization reporting to this role.
• Partner with other accounting leaders to align priorities and deliver consistent outcomes across the function.
• Interpret complex business scenarios and recommend appropriate accounting treatments.
• Lead cross-functional collaboration and communicate effectively across geographies and cultures.
• Develop talent through coaching, mentoring, and creating growth opportunities.

What You'll Bring

• Bachelor's degree in accounting; MBA or CPA preferred.
• Minimum 10 years of progressive accounting experience, including 7+ years in a leadership role.
• Working knowledge of US GAAP and IFRS.
• Proven experience with large ERP systems; Microsoft Dynamics or AX is a plus.
• Demonstrated expertise in financial controls, risk management, and compliance.
• Experience with automation in accountingprocesses, including the use of AI, RPA, or workflow tools to streamlineoperations and improve accuracy
