Job summary

RES is seeking a focused intern to assist accounts payable tasks in Baton Rouge. You will enter invoices, code A/P items, and help maintain vendor records while supporting data entry and reconciliation efforts.

The role requires pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or business, strong MS Office skills, and excellent communication and organizational abilities. This entry-level position provides exposure to financial processes in a sustainability-focused company.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a business-related major.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office products (Outlook, Excel, Word).
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Entering payables and assisting with data entry of invoices and journal entries.
• Coding A/P invoices and organizing vendor records for processing.
• Setting up new vendors and maintaining vendor records.
• Responding to vendor emails and phone inquiries.
• Routing invoices for approval and processing payments.
• Performing reconciliations and helping resolve invoice discrepancies.
• Assisting with audit support and special projects as needed.
