Job summary

Storm Masters, a proud member of the Installed Building Products family, is seeking an Accounting Clerk to support the finance team with AP and AR functions.

The role involves processing invoices, payments, reconciliations, and assisting with month-end close, while maintaining data integrity and confidentiality. Strong Excel and accounting software skills are required, with 1+ years of relevant experience preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's degree preferred.
• 1+ years of experience in Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, or general accounting.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Process and verify vendor invoices for accuracy and proper approval.
• Prepare and process payments, including checks, ACH, and wire transfers.
• Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies.
• Maintain organized accounts payable files and records.
• Respond to vendor inquiries regarding payments and account status.
• Generate and distribute customer invoices.
• Apply customer payments and maintain accurate account records.
• Monitor outstanding balances and assist with collection efforts.
• Reconcile customer accounts and investigate payment discrepancies.
• Provide support for month-end closing activities.
• Enter financial transactions accurately into the accounting system.
• Assist with account reconciliations and financial reporting.
• Maintain confidentiality of financial information.
• Support audits and other accounting projects as needed.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth financial operations.

Key Responsibilities

Accounts Payable (AP)
