Job Summary:
The Accounting Clerk is responsible for providing accounting support across accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger tasks. This role plays a key part in maintaining accurate financial records, processing transactions, and supporting billing and reporting functions.
What You'll Be Doing
Process invoices and payments for vendors and advertising partners
Prepare and issue invoices to advertisers and subscribers
Post daily transactions and assist with bank and account reconciliations
Maintain organized records of financial documents and billing data
Support monthly close and assist in generating financial reports
Coordinate with advertising, circulation, and other departments to resolve discrepancies
Assist with journal entries and general ledger updates as needed
You're Likely a Match if You Have
Knowledge and Experience:
Associate's degree or equivalent work experience
Basic understanding of accounting principles preferred
Nice to Have:
Experience in publishing, media, or a subscription-based business
Familiarity with ad billing or circulation systems
Experience with Acumatica
Skills:
Strong knowledge of bookkeeping
Diligence and accuracy in data entry
Demonstrate basic clerical and filing skills
Demonstrate basic math and computation skills
Excellent knowledge of MS Excel and accounting software
Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills
Ability to operate ten-keys adding machine, and copier
Ability to follow instructions and to work independently and as part of a team
