Base pay range

$18.00/hr - $20.00/hr

VIATEQ is seeking a Part-Time Accounting Clerk to support daily financial operations. Responsibilities include recording transactions, reconciling bank accounts, maintaining ledgers, processing invoices and payments, and assisting with audits and tax preparations.

This is a remote, part-time position requiring approximately 10 hours per week. Hours are flexible within 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Eastern through Pacific time zones, accommodating your schedule.

HUBZone residents are strongly encouraged to apply. Priority is given to candidates residing in Historically Underutilized Business Zones (HUBZones).

Responsibilities
  • Record daily financial transactions and complete posting
  • Reconcile bank accounts and ensure record consistency
  • Maintain accurate ledgers, including accounts payable and receivable
  • Process AP invoices and payments
  • Handle customer invoices and deposits
  • Coordinate with accountants during audits and tax prep
  • Collaborate with departments to support operations and resolve issues
Basic Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Understanding of basic accounting principles
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Organizational and time management skills
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP)
  • Ability to handle sensitive information confidentially
Preferred Qualifications
  • Associate's Degree or higher in Accounting or related field
  • Experience as an Accounting Clerk or similar role
Compensation Range

$18-$20 per hour, depending on experience and location.
