Job summary

MediaNews Group is seeking an Accounts Payable Clerk to manage the review and processing of invoices and check requests within our digital workflow and Oracle Fusion ERP. This role requires residing in Colorado or Ohio, with eligibility for remote work.

The position offers a starting hourly range of $17.00 to $18.50, plus benefits including medical, dental, life and disability insurance, 401k, paid time off and holidays. Strong data entry and policy adherence are essential.

Qualifications

Job description

MediaNews Group is seeking an Accounts Payable Clerk to manage the review and processing of invoices and check requests within our digital workflow and Oracle Fusion ERP. In addition to overseeing digital inputs, you will perform manual data entry to ensure all financial records are accurate and complete.

• Although this is a remote position, candidates must reside in Colorado or Ohio.
• Verify invoices for quantity, unit pricing, extensions, and applicable discounts.
• Enter invoices into the Oracle Fusion Accounts Payable system.
• Adhere to all policies, processes, and procedures for accounts payable.
• For non-purchase order invoices (including internal check requests), check for valid GL coding for distribution to the general ledger.
• Ability to read and comprehend written instructions (including process, policy, and procedures manuals), correspondence, and financial documents.
• Proficiency in legibly writing and organizing correspondence (generally in email).
• A customer-focused mindset.
• High school diploma or GED (minimum required); College degree in finance, business, accounting, or a similar major (or relevant coursework) is preferred.

The hourly range is $17.00 - $18.50 or required city/county minimum wage.
