Job summary

MediaNews Group seeks an Accounts Payable Clerk to manage invoice review and processing within our digital workflow and Oracle Fusion ERP. The role involves manual data entry to ensure accurate financial records while working remotely from Ohio or Colorado.

The ideal candidate will verify invoices, enter data into Oracle Fusion, and adhere to AP policies. A high school diploma is required; a finance/accounting degree is preferred, with benefits including medical, dental, life and disability

Qualifications

• Ability to read and understand formal policies, process manuals, and financial documents.
• Experience with data entry and organizing correspondence for AP workflows.

Responsibilities

• Verify invoices for quantity, pricing, extensions, and discounts.
• Enter invoices into Oracle Fusion Accounts Payable system.
• Adhere to AP policies, processes, and procedures.
• Check non-PO invoices for valid GL coding for distribution to the GL.
• Demonstrate clear written and email communication and customer service mindset.

Job description

MediaNews Group is seeking an Accounts Payable Clerk to manage the review and processing of invoices and check requests within our digital workflow and Oracle Fusion ERP. In addition to overseeing digital inputs, you will perform manual data entry to ensure all financial records are accurate and complete.

Although this is a remote position, candidates must reside in Colorado or Ohio.

• Verify invoices for quantity, unit pricing, extensions, and applicable discounts
• Enter invoices into the Oracle Fusion Accounts Payable system
• Adhere to all policies, processes, and procedures for accounts payable
• For non-purchase order invoices (including internal check requests), check for valid GL coding for distribution to the general ledger
• Ability to read and comprehend written instructions (including process, policy, and procedures manuals), correspondence, and financial documents
• Proficiency in legibly writing and organizing correspondence (generally in email)
• A customer-focused mindset

High school diploma or GED (minimum required); College degree in finance, business, accounting, or a similar major (or relevant coursework) is preferred

The hourly range is $17.00 - $18.50 or required city/county minimum wage. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to geographic location, education, work experience, time in role, certifications, etc.
