Job summary

CFS, a well-established community bank in Madison, WI, seeks an accounting professional to join a collaborative team. The role offers exposure to financial reporting, budgeting, and cash management while supporting daily accounting activities.

Ideal candidates will have 2+ years of accounting experience, a Bachelor’s in Accounting/Finance (or Associate with relevant experience), and strong communication skills to work across departments.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of accounting experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance preferred; Associate degree with relevant experience will also be considered.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across departments.

Responsibilities

• Prepare journal entries and assist with general ledger accounting activities.
• Support the preparation of financial reports and month-end accounting processes.
• Maintain fixed asset records and depreciation schedules.
• Assist with budget maintenance and financial reporting.
• Support daily cash management activities and other accounting projects as needed.
