Job summary

Green Key Resources is seeking an Accounting Associate for a well-established investment firm to join its New York finance team. This role offers broad exposure to corporate accounting, financial operations, and cross-functional initiatives supporting multiple entities.

You will maintain the general ledger, oversee accounts payable, prepare wire transfers, generate invoices, and assist with budgeting, month-end close, and audits in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field.
• 2-4 years of accounting experience, preferably beginning in public accounting.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and the ability to quickly learn new financial systems.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with exceptional attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the general ledger and accounting records for multiple corporate entities.
• Oversee the full accounts payable process, including vendor setup, invoice review, payment approvals, and electronic payment processing.
• Prepare and review wire transfers and other cash disbursements to ensure accuracy and proper controls.
• Generate invoices, monitor receivables, and assist with collections as needed.
• Process expense reimbursements and ensure transactions are recorded accurately.
• Review employee expense submissions for completeness and compliance with company policies.
• Reconcile balance sheet and income statement accounts while supporting month-end close activities.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting requests.
• Track tax-related filings, notices, and payment deadlines while maintaining supporting documentation.
• Prepare recurring and ad hoc reports for senior management and internal stakeholders.
• Support annual audits by coordinating schedules, documentation, and auditor requests.
• Participate in finance process improvements, technology implementations, and other special projects.
