Defined Fitness Inc. is seeking an Accounting Assistant to support the finance team with accurate processing of financial transactions, maintain detailed records, reconcile accounts, and assist with payroll and tax activities.

This full-time role focuses on accounts payable/receivable, general ledger upkeep, and timely reporting using QuickBooks, with a strong emphasis on accuracy, organization, and compliance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree preferred.
• Experience with bank reconciliation, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
• Proficiency in QuickBooks or similar accounting software.
• Basic understanding of general accounting principles and payroll tax regulations.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Perform bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy between company records and bank statements.
• Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions in a timely manner.
• Maintain and update general ledger accounts and assist with account reconciliations.
• Utilize QuickBooks software to record financial transactions and generate reports.
• Assist with payroll tax calculations and ensure compliance with relevant tax regulations.
• Support cost accounting activities by tracking and reporting expenses.
• Collaborate with other departments to resolve discrepancies and improve financial processes.
• Prepare documentation and support for audits and financial reviews.
