Defined Fitness Inc. is seeking an Accounting Assistant to support daily operations of the accounting department in our Albuquerque CORE Office. You will help with data entry, filing and essential financial duties, delivering high-quality support with accuracy.

Responsibilities include processing accounts payable, posting general journal entries, mail distribution, filing, and generating reports. You must have a high school diploma, 2 years bookkeeping experience, and proficiency in Microsoft

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Minimum two years’ bookkeeping or accounting experience
• PC literate with Microsoft Excel and ability to learn QuickBooks
• Strong data entry, organization, and communication skills

Responsibilities

• Performs accounts payable transactions in accounting software
• Prepare and post General Journal entries
• Open and distribute mail to team members
• Maintain filing systems and accounting reports
• Data entry for vendor transactions in the accounting system
• Make bank deposits and run errands as needed
• Generate reports for accounting department
• Maintain office equipment and order supplies
• Protect confidential financial information
• Perform other duties as assigned
