Job summary

Ledgent-Finance- in Manchester, CT is seeking an Accounting Assistant to support accounts payable, accounts receivable, billing, and collections in a fast-paced on-site environment. The role involves processing a high volume of invoices, payment processing, and customer communications using Epicor software.

The ideal candidate will have basic accounting knowledge, strong attention to detail, and proficiency with Microsoft Office.

Qualifications

• Basic accounting knowledge and understanding of accounting principles.
• Previous experience in Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, billing, or a related accounting support role.
• Strong computer skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
• Experience with ERP software; Epicor experience is highly preferred but not required.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; additional accounting coursework is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Process approximately 50 invoices daily
• Manage Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable activities
• Prepare and process vendor and customer payments
• Handle customer billing and invoicing
• Perform collection activities and follow up on outstanding balances
• Contact customers regarding account inquiries and payment issues
• Process checks and credit card payments
• Maintain accurate financial records and documentation
• Enter data and update customer and vendor information in Epicor
• Assist with general accounting and administrative duties as needed
• Support month-end accounting processes and reporting
