Job summary

Lendistry, the nation’s largest minority-led fintech lender, is seeking an Accounting Analyst to maintain financials and ensure accurate monthly, quarterly, and year-end closes. You will partner with the accounting team and support the executive team on budgeting and reporting.

Requires a Bachelor’s degree in accounting, 1–2 years of accounting experience, strong Excel skills, and experience with NetSuite or similar software. Travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in accounting or related field of study required.
• 1-2 years accounting experience preferred.
• Strong proficiency in Excel required.
• NetSuite or other accounting software experience required.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Well organized, detail oriented and able to handle fast paced work environment.

Responsibilities

• Collects and analyzes financial data for short- and long-range planning.
• Enhance existing reports to improve accuracy.
• Prepare monthly bank and GL account reconciliations.
• Daily cash applications to AR journal entries.
• Substantiate financial transactions by auditing documents.
• Reconcile financial discrepancies by collecting and analyzing account information.
• Maintain financial security by following internal controls.
• Work with fellow accounting staff to help with overflow.
• Prepare and/or review accounting records, financial statements, and reports to assess accuracy, completeness and compliance with standard operating practices.
• Intercompany invoicing and reconciliation.
• Assist in month end closing and review.
• Assist in year-end audit by preparing all audit schedules and reports as requested by auditors.
• Assist with additional third-party audits and other ad-hoc assignments.
• Additional duties, responsibilities and special projects as assigned by CAO, Treasurer or Controller.
