Job summary

Forvis Mazars, LLP is seeking an experienced Accounting Advisory Services (AAS) leader to drive complex engagements and lead national practice initiatives. You will manage project teams, provide strategic guidance to C-suite executives, and deliver high‑quality GAAP and SEC accounting solutions.

You will mentor staff, oversee engagement quality, and collaborate with leadership to pursue new business opportunities while ensuring outstanding client service and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 5+ years or more of relevant experience.
• CPA license required.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a primary point of contact for C-suite and senior client executives, providing strategic guidance, regular project updates, and executive-level presentations.
• Cultivate and maintain strong client relationships, serving as a trusted advisor and identifying opportunities to expand service offerings.
• Develop engagement strategies and lead the execution of complex accounting and finance advisory engagements in collaboration with AAS leadership.
• Perform and review technical accounting research and advise clients on complex GAAP, SEC, and other regulatory requirements.
• Lead and support client engagements involving complex transactions, including IPOs, SPACs, mergers and acquisitions, and other strategic initiatives.
• Oversee engagement quality and ensure deliverables meet technical, regulatory, and client expectations.
• Identify and proactively resolve engagement challenges and risks, collaborating with leadership as needed to drive successful outcomes.
• Lead, mentor, and develop project teams by providing coaching, technical guidance, and performance feedback.
• Support business development efforts through proposal development, engagement scoping, pricing, client relationship management, and identifying opportunities for expanded services.
