Job summary

Forvis Mazars, LLP is seeking an experienced assurance professional to lead and manage audit engagements from planning through reporting. The role requires strong GAAP knowledge, CPA certification, and the ability to travel for client engagements.

You will mentor staff, review workpapers, and coordinate with senior client stakeholders to identify risks and provide practical solutions, while upholding the firm’s standards and client service expectations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field required.
• 5+ years of audit experience.
• Current and valid CPA license.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to travel for client engagements, including overnight stays.

Responsibilities

• Manage the planning and execution of audit engagements with coordination of fieldwork and timely completion.
• Demonstrate solid understanding of GAAP to ensure accurate financial reporting and regulatory compliance.
• Conduct research on complex accounting issues and communicate findings clearly in written reports.
• Review audit workpapers for accuracy and compliance with standards and firm policies.
• Engage with senior client stakeholders to identify risks and implement solutions.
• Drive client service excellence and foster long-term relationships as a trusted advisor.
• Support client growth and retention through strategic planning and business development.
• Mentor and manage assurance professionals to build a high-performing team.
• Manage resources, budgets, and project workflows to ensure timely, cost-effective delivery.
• Maintain technical expertise through ongoing Continuing Professional Education (CPE).
• Represent the firm at industry events to enhance brand visibility.
